LEGO Robotics Classes

Fun - Educational - Creative - Hands-On

About image
Hi, my name is Almira and I am a high school senior taking AP Research Class. I am conducting a study on whether by stimulating fine motor skills, we can improve math test results.

Fine motor skills have been shown to increase math and reading proficiency (Grissmer et al, 2010).

I will be offering 12 Free LEGO Robotics lessons for those who qualify. Each week, we will be building a new robot to race, battle, and play. Lego is an award-winning curriculum that will keep your child engaged, while stimulating fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness.

I have been participating in competitive robotics for the past 7 years, with a number of awards in various categories: programming, innovative design, research & presentation, high robot scores. I have been coaching robotics to elementary school students for the last 3 years with great success. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids, teaching them engineering and positivity.

I am a certifed volunteer for Collier County, passed a background check, and have Institutional Review Board approval for this study. During the classes, I will have a qualified adult with me at all times.
